Can we do virtual roll calls forever now? Last night's was such crazy fun, it's hard to imagine going back to the old way. But yes, we know that at some point the pandemic will be over and future Democratic delegates will be together in one room (sigh). Can they still have a video and just cheer it from their seats? We vote for that.
Everybody was great, but we particularly loved Parkland, Florida, dad Fred Guttenberg, Matthew Shepard's parents from Wyoming, the IBEW dude from Ohio who said that workers who trusted Donald Trump "always get screwed," the little kid in Louisiana who held up the sign with the Bidenesque aviator glasses, the New York nurse who proclaimed, "It's Joe Time!" — and, of course, Rhode Island's calamari guy. We cats PURR.
