We cats are trying to figure out what we'd look like in a hijab. Probably not great — but we're thinking it would be a great way to show solidarity with Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D-MN).
We've watched Representative Omar's remarks to CAIR, and it is so clear that she was not dissing the attacks on September 11, 2001. We're outraged that Trump and the Republicans have gone after her for it.
Trump — who bragged on live TV on the very day of September 11 that his buildings were now the tallest in New York — has tweeted about Omar in a way that we're sure will either increase the threats on her life (which has probably already happened) or literally get her killed.
Gosh. Will we be ever able to go somewhat back to normal after this abhorrent Presidency is done? We can only hope. In the meantime, we cats HISS.
