It rained cats and dogs in Montreal last week. But it looks like Ottawa has perfect weather for today's visit by King Charles III and Queen Camilla. Check out Chuck and Cam hangin' with Governor-General Mary Simon and Prime Minister Mark Carney for a tree planting at Rideau Hall.
This royal visit is super-fun — and not just because it's a poke in the eye to Benedict Donald. When the King gives the Throne Speech in Parliament tomorrow, Trumpy Conservative "leader" Pierre Poilievre will be up a creek. Or, rather, relegated to the public gallery. PP lost his seat on April 28 and has nowhere to be — and, until his by-election in Alberta, no role to play. We cats love it, and we PURR.
