Tidbits And Cat Treats: First Night Of Passover Edition

By Sniffles

Observing Passover tonight? Chag sameach! For the rest of you, here are our furry thoughts on the latest political developments.

Sorry to start on a negative note, but Deborah Birx makes us sick. "[Trump is] so attentive to the scientific literature and the details and the data," she famously said. "I think his ability to analyze and integrate data that comes out of his long history in business has really been a real benefit." She should never be able to rehabilitate herself after spewing this drivel. Sorry, Deb.

We're not flying, we can drink something other than Diet Sprite, and we can easily go to Lowe's instead. So it'll be pretty painless for us to boycott Delta Airlines, Coca-Cola and Home Depot until they condemn Georgia's restrictive voting laws. In the meantime, it would be great if Major League Baseball would move the 2021 All-Star game from Atlanta.

Ted Cruz has really gotten fat. Goodness gracious.

We cats are totally into infrastructure, and not just because Mayor Pete is Transportation Secretary. Infrastructure affects all our lives, and actually is a quality of life and human rights issue. (Doesn't everyone deserve to have access to clean water?) Anyway, we completely support President Biden's plan to tax corporate America and the one percent to pay for it. "I want to change the paradigm," Biden said. "We start to reward work, not just wealth." This is so great.

Mitt Romney has won the 2020 Profiles in Courage award for his vote to convict Benedict Donald in his first impeachment trial. This is okay. However, it would have been better if the Atlanta Dream had gotten it. They promoted Raphael Warnock's candidacy, and they helped chase repulsive Republican Kelly Loeffler out of the Senate. Maybe for 2021, since Warnock was successfully elected this January?

Fire Louis DeJoy now, USPS Governing Board.

Finally, just want to say that come 2022 or any future elections, if a candidate didn't vote to certify Joe Biden as the winner in 2020, or didn't condemn the insurrectionists of January 6, that's a deal breaker for us. Putting you all on notice, Saratoga County Republicans who might knock on our door next year. Do so at your peril. We cats PURR.
