Trump Doesn't Know Lindbergh Landed In Paris, Press Doesn't Notice

By Sniffles

Benedict Donald is spending the weekend wildly projecting both in person and on social media, accusing Vice President Harris of all sorts of things he's guilty of, and the speeches he gives at his "shows" are going farther and farther off the rails.

Still triggered by a debate that took place nearly three weeks ago, Trump ranted in Wisconsin about how nobody — mind you, nobody — ever, ever leaves his rallies early. Well, as Kamala observed, of course they do. Not just because they're exhausted and bored, but because many of them are paid to be there. Once they put in a respectable few minutes and pose for a selfie to prove they were there, they take off.

Trump has also ruminated endlessly about whether Harris really and truly worked at McDonald's, how his "beach body" is better than President Biden's, and — oh, yes — how immigrants are not only poisoning the blood of our country, they're sneaking into your kitchen and knifing you. He said that Harris let them all walk unimpeded across the border and that she was "born mentally impaired."

Finally, he claimed that 50,000 people were outside his rally venue, not allowed in — more people than the crowd who greeted famed Nazi sympathizer Charles Lindbergh when he "landed in New York." "Remember that?" he asked. (Lindbergh flew over the Atlantic in 1927.)

And how did the press cover all this blathering nonsense? "Donald Trump sharpened his criticism on border security in a swing-state visit, playing up a political liability for Kamala Harris." Good God.

It's surely a waste of time to hope that journalists will ever wake up and smell the coffee on either Trump's dementia or his "poisoning the blood," Hitlerian language. Do they really think that if Donald gets back into office, they'll be safe? That's the height of (smug, white, male) arrogance and privilege. We cats HISS.
