Big winter storm in NY-03 tomorrow. It's a good thing that the Tom Suozzi for Congress campaign banked all those early votes, because travel to the polls in the George Santos special election will probably be difficult. As one of our favorite Democratic strategists points out, "In 2022, about 70 percent of the votes were cast on Election Day. I would estimate it will be a smaller share, both because high-propensity voters skew to early voting, and the snowstorm.
"Speaking of snow, since the GOP enters Election Day with a deficit in the early vote, it stands to reason that anything that limits Election Day turnout is bad for them...Suozzi and Republican Mazi Pilip are both relying on a lot of their supporters to come out tomorrow. Pilip just needs more." We cats still have our paws crossed, and we PURR.
