We don't know why the reports we've seen tonight — including Rachel Maddow's, believe it or not — insist that President Obama addressed only Frenchmen in the condolence letter he wrote at the Embassy of France. But as you can see (above), he clearly said, "We stand united with our French brothers and sisters to ensure that justice is done and our way of life is defended." Hm. Qu'est-ce qui passe?
