Benedict Donald is furious that the January 6 Committee hearings have become such compelling television. Which means that we're seeing headlines like this.
Of course Republicans are ruing the day they flounced out of the room and refused to put even semi-serious members on the Committee. First, because Donald is giving them hell about it. Second, because their own culpability for the attempted coup is coming to light. (And you can tell they're feeling the heat — Mo "Body Armor" Brooks now says he'll cooperate with the Committee.)
Not to mention all those new subpoenas, FBI raids, and previously undisclosed video that British filmmaker Alex Holder has handed over. The insurrectionists may have erected a gallows outside the Capitol on January 6, but now the noose is tightening around them, Trump, his crime family, and Republicans at both the state and national levels.
It just makes you wonder why, if Donald Trump tried to overthrow the government, a Supreme Court packed with his appointees is allowed to overturn Roe v. Wade later today or tomorrow. Democracy indeed is the worst form of government (except for all the others). We cats HISS.
