Tidbits And Cat Treats: Cassidy Hutchinson Edition

By Hubie and Bertie

This texted response from Moose & Squirrel on January 6 pretty much sums it up, don'tcha think?

It certainly does, but more remains to be said. Here are some feline takes on today's hearing. Call it Cassidy Day. Whew!

We cats have nine lives, of course. But we can't imagine ourselves at age 25, in any of our lives, having the poise and unflappability that Hutchinson displayed today. It's going to be very hard for the Trumpsters and Trump-compliant Republicans to undermine her. (Of course, they're desperately trying.)

"General" Michael Flynn is asked whether he believes in the peaceful transfer of power, and he has to plead the Fifth? We'll remember that for a long, long time.

Listening to the stories of Mark Meadows scrolling through his phone, unmoved that people with weapons were storming the Capitol, and later seeking a pardon makes us think that Madison Cawthorn was a real upgrade for NC-11.

Ketchup hasn't taken so prominent a role in political discourse since Richard Nixon put it on his cottage cheese. Prove us wrong.

The MAGAts had spears. Spears! These jerks thought they were in Braveheart.

This hearing was a welcome reminder that democratic government can work. But we're still mad about Roe v. Wade. We cats HISS.
