GOPs Behaving Badly

By Zamboni

Gosh! We've been so consumed with the death knells being pronounced on Andrew Cuomo's career that we've hardly noticed the deluge of other scandals engulfing folks in the opposite party.

The DOD inspector general reports that former White House physician and now GOP Congressman Ronny Jackson boozed it up on the job, chugged Ambien, and subjected women on his staff to "sexual and denigrating" comments, at one point banging on a staffer's hotel room door, drunk, in the middle of the night. This is terrible — but surely lots of Republicans have called for his resignation, right?

A passel of former female classmates of Republican wheelchair wanker Madison Cawthorn are accusing him of sexually harassing them at Patrick Henry College, taking them for scary car rides and blowing his top if they rejected his advances. Disgusting! But his Republican colleagues are demanding he step down, correct?

And where do we start with Jim Jordan? Goodness gracious. Turns out that George Clooney is making a documentary about Jordan's sexual abuse scandal at the Ohio State wrestling program. Once that film premieres and the gory details are out, Jordan's GOP colleagues will definitely insist he give up his seat... yes?

Yeah, right.

Governor Cuomo apologized today. We cats say, let Attorney General James conduct her investigation. As for the others, it would be nice if the GOP could stop being total hypocrites about stuff like this. But on the other hand, if Andrew's troubles inspire a bunch of New York Republicans to run for Governor and they end up tearing each other apart in a nasty primary, that would be okay, too. We cats HISS and PURR at the same time.
