What would Ronnie do? We cats have nine lives, so we remember well the days when Ronald Reagan became a hero to the slobbering American right simply by reciting a movie line. "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!" Kinda like "I paid for this microphone!" All very silly.
What's clear, though, is that Reagan was the ultimate anti-Soviet, anti-Russian, American super-dude. Republicans embraced and worshiped him for it. But that was then.
Now, the Republican Party is colluding with Russia, changing its platform — when it had one — to please Russia, and is salivating over not Reagan but Vladimir Putin. (Vlad, who has had his feelings hurt by being called a "killer," has challenged Joe Biden to a debate. Which is ridiculous. But guess who the Trumpsters and the GOP are rooting for?)
We still don't know why so many GOP Senators spent Independence Day 2018 in Moscow, including Ron Johnson, so recently outed as spouting Russian talking points. It is all a gigantic treasonous clusterf*ck. So how fast is Ronnie spinning in his grave, do you think? We cats HISS.
