By now you may have heard that the unemployment rate has jumped to 6.1 percent — the highest it's been in five years. In August alone, 84,000 jobs were lost.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics also reported that 605,000 jobs have been lost since January.
Or, put another way: This year, George W. Bush has killed almost as many jobs as the number of people who live in the state of Alaska.
Why do we think that McCain-Palin won't be talking much about that little statistic?
