Why Are They Always Named "Black"?
By Baxter
Well, this is embarrassing. At least, we cats think so.
Derek Black, the son of former KKK wizard Don Black and the stepson of white supremacist David Duke, was recently elected Republican Committeeman in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Must have been a mistake — unless the Republican voters in the low-turnout election decided they didn't like the Hispanic-sounding name of Mr. Black's opponent: Eduardo Burkhart.
Whatever. The young Mr. Black's job is to ensure that folks in his district vote Republican. Gee, do we think the McCain-Palin-Crist folks will call him and enlist his help for November 4?
Our thanks to Morris Dees and the folks at the Southern Poverty Law Center for alerting us to this one. We just have one question: How does Michael Steele, the (black) head of GOPAC, feel about this? Seems to us that in another world, his fellow Republicans would be burning a cross on his lawn.
