"Pro-Life"? Try "Barbaric"
"In early 2007, [Sarah] Palin's administration approved an initiative to pay a $150 bounty to hunters who killed a wolf from an airplane in certain areas, hacked off the left foreleg, and brought in the appendage. Ruling that the Palin administration didn't have the authority to offer payments, a state judge quickly put a halt to them but not to the shooting of wolves from aircraft." —Mark Benjamin, Salon Magazine

Thank you, Cindy, for your wonderful pro-animal thoughts. We cats totally approve. We share your outrage, and we think the best way to channel it is to take action. Our suggestion: Find out the deadline in your state for voter registration for Election Day. Then, visit your local elections office website and download a voter registration form. Then, talk to all the animal lovers you know and make sure they're registered to vote for Obama. If they're not, sign 'em up (and keep their contact information so you can help make sure they go to the polls on Nov. 4). Your local Obama office can help you target other groups to register, too (such as students at local community colleges). Your passion and your love for animals can help make the difference!
